The Millarworld continues to expand on Netflix. The company revealed the first trailer for Super Crooks, an anime series based on the 2012 comic from legendary Kingsman and Kickass creator Mark Millar.
If you’re unfamiliar with the Super Crooks comic, it tells the story of Johnny Bolt, a super-powered ex-convict who assembles a team of supervillains to carry out one last heist… much like The Suicide Squad. But that’s not the only striking thing about this. The anime is also in charge of the acclaimed studio behind the animation of the characters My Hero Academy: Bones. Simply put, expect something pretty epic.
Here’s the trailer:
The 13 episodes of Super Crooks will last 30 minutes each and will be available in the Netflix series catalog from November 25.
In addition to Super Crooks, Netflix is developing multiple projects based on Millarworld as the live-action of The Magic Order, a fantastic version of The Sopranos, along with adaptations of American Jesus, Empress, Huck, and Sharkey The Bounty Hunter. The company recently canceled Jupiter’s Legacy series after its first season.
