Reki Kawahara’s work, Sword Art Online, will continue to expand through what will be a new manga for its extensive collection.
I’m not the number one fan of ” Sword Art Online ” and, honestly, seeing the number of adaptations that it has in novel, light novel, anime, and manga format become overwhelming. Precisely, today it has been announced that the collection of content about the franchise will be expanded with a new volume of manga that may interest more than one.
Sword Art Online returns to the manga in less than a month
Then I leave you with the Manga Mogura tweet for which this official announcement has been made known:
As can be seen, there is not much information about this new “Sword Art Online” manga, but this is what is known for sure :
- This manga will encompass content from the original novel that has not been adapted into anime.
- Illustrations will be provided by Kimi.
- It will start on October 27, 2021, in Dengeki Daioh magazine.
I have already seen people asking themselves a question that seems quite pertinent to me, and this is what particular arc this manga will be about, as it is something that has not been reported in the announcement. What I’m going to comment on now is my own assumption, but considering that the most recent anime to air was ‘Alicization’, I understand that it is a real possibility for this manga in question.
In any case, there is a whole month ahead until the new “Sword Art Online” manga starts, so I’m pretty sure that before it happens we will have more information and surely the odd first image . Until then, there is no alternative but to wait patiently and see where it falls from the 12 different manga adaptations that the franchise has.
