What began as the year of ” Jujutsu Kaisen ” has ended up becoming, with all the law, the year of ” Tokyo Revengers “, the work of Ken Wakui who (without the intention of disrespecting any other author) has completely passed the world in Japanese manga sales. Now, it seems that the history of Takemichi and the company have thought to continue expanding its framework of action with a new announcement.

I will make a small clarifying note, and it is that as it can be easily understood, the date on which the announcement will occur will not be September 6 (a bit impossible at this point), but it will occur during October 6, 2021. Also, at the moment it has not been confirmed what kind of adaptation “Tokyo Revengers” will announce for the occasion, so I leave you with a few possibilities that seem viable to me:
- A new live-action movie ; the first was a brutal success and remained the top box office in Japan for some time.
- Season 2 of the anime , which will logically arrive and has not yet been announced in any way.
- An anime film , and in recent months the format has become quite common if the content allows it.
Personally, although I understand that season 2 of “Tokyo Revengers” is something that will obviously end up happening, I am not entirely sure that it is the announcement that is being prepared. After all, all the summer anime that had something to announce did so with the relevant final chapter, a fact that did not happen with the work of Ken Wakui. In this sense, I see a new live-action or even the anime movie as the main options to consider.
Tokyo Revengers Synopsis
Takemichi hanagaki’s life is at its worst. Just when he thought things couldn’t be worse, he discovers that Hinata Tachibana, his ex-girlfriend, has been murdered by the Tokyo Manji Gang: a group of fearsome criminals who has been threatening the peace of society for a certain time.
Hanagaki begins to wonder when things went wrong, until he suddenly travels back in time 12 years ago – when he was still in a relationship with Tachibana. Hanagaki realizes that now he has a chance to save her, and for this he infiltrates the Tokyo Manji Gang, with the aim of climbing positions in their ranks and changing the future to save Tachibana from its tragic outcome.
