Japan is the birthplace of various forms of martial arts and warriors. Among the most iconic of them are of course the ninjas. These shadow warriors have invaded TV over the years and clearly cannot be absent from the anime world.
Today we will explore the most feminine side of shadows. Coming from the dark to assassinate you in your sleep, here is the Top 10 ninja girls! (Note: we only choose one character per series, otherwise this would be Naruto’s Top 10 girls, right?)
10. Kagero de Juubee Ninpuuchou

Kagero is a female ninja with rare abilities. Your job is to taste your teacher’s food. Therefore, it has developed an immunity to any type of poison. In fact, Kagero has assimilated so many toxins over the years that his own body is now poisonous.
Poison, as you probably know, is seen as the weapon of cowards, which does not merit Kagero much respect from his clan. Of course, being a woman doesn’t help her much either. However, she is a determined warrior, always ready to prove her worth even with her life.
9. Oboro Iga of Basilisk

Lavender princess is one of the sweetest ninja girls on our list. She is extremely kind, peaceful, and pious, as she refuses to murder her enemies. As the leader of the Iga clan, Oboro is secretly respected but hated for her displays of weakness.
Oboro is no prodigy in ninja martial arts but he does have a very powerful special ability. Her eye technique can disable any enemy who stares at her. But she can do more than just neutralize her enemies. If you manage to get angry enough, this same technique is capable of causing serious damage to your opponent. So if you ever come across her, just try to avoid her gaze.
8. Goemon Hachisuka from Odanobuna’s girlfriend

This beautiful ninja girl is Yoshiharu’s adventure partner and the leader of the Kawanami robber group. Goemon is a skilled ninja and a capable leader, staying calm and confident even in the most dangerous situations. She is also quite selfless and heroic, being able to take a bullet for those she loves. But don’t thank her with a hug, that puts her in a bad mood.
His most particular trait is his inability to speak fluently. She often bites her tongue while speaking or stutters while speaking long sentences. This makes it quite rare but beautiful at the same time.
7. Sarutobi Ayame of Gintama

- Issuance: April 2006 to March 2010
Sarutobi is an assassin trained in the ninja arts. She is a killer beauty with glasses, as she is shortsighted to the point that she can mistake people for inanimate objects. She’s completely crazy about Gintoki, so much so that we can see her stalking him from time to time.
As an assassin, Sarutobi is extremely lethal and highly skilled in the use of kunai, being able to hit her target despite her poor eyesight. This ninja girl is somewhat bipolar, as she behaves like a girl when she is around Gintoki but is a demon when she goes into assassin mode.
6. Misao Makimachi by Rurouni Kenshin

The weasel girl, Misao Makimachi, is an aggressive warrior trained as an Onmitsu. She is obsessed with finding her missing hero Aoshi Shinomori. She joins Himura (against her will at first) thinking that he will lead her to find Aoshi.
However, her arduous training has made her highly skilled in combat and she proves to be a powerful ally. Although sometimes she can be impetuous and get into trouble just to show off.
5. Seraphim from Kore wa Zombie desu ka?

What could be sexier and more deadly than a ninja girl? That’s how it is! A vampire ninja! Seraphim is an adorable and temperamental warrior who serves Ayumu Aikawa. She is quite aggressive and is not recommended to mess with, as she has an entire arsenal of deadly abilities.
Seraphim is skilled in the art of Ninjutsu and the Tsubamegaeshi sword style, which he considers a superior form of combat. He also has several other special abilities like teleportation and flying.

Lan Fan is Ling Yao’s personal bodyguard. Together with her grandfather, Fu, she assists Ling in his quest for immortality and for the title of Emperor of Xing. She is almost as skilled as her grandfather in ninja martial arts, but a bit more sloppy, which is natural considering the age difference.
However, she can be very unpredictable to her enemies, as well as very cunning and determined. This is clearly seen when he helps his master escape the clutches of King Bradley by offering his arm in return. Prince Ling would never have made it if she didn’t give him a hand (very obvious?)
3. Shiina from Angel Beats!

As a self-proclaimed ninja, Shiina is a very strange girl wrapped in a mysterious past. She loves to hide in the shadows and dark corners like the good ninja that she is. She is constantly seen training. Her mind is fixed on constantly developing her skills, which is why we see her very often balancing objects on her fingertips.
Despite being a very serious and rigid girl, she has a more boyish and feminine side. Shiina loves plush animals. This sensitive side gets her into trouble many times, but her concentration is so powerful that she can sense when danger is approaching.
2. Tsubaki Nakatsukasa from Soul Eater

- Issuance: April 2008 to March 2009
Tsubaki is a demonic weapon from the Nakatsukasa Arms Clan. She has the rare special ability to transform into multiple ninja weapons such as the smoke bomb, shuriken (ninja star), chain scythe, and mystery sword.
Tsubaki is very mature and peaceful, often acting as a mediator in arguments between her friends. She acts as an older sister to her friends on several occasions. She is undoubtedly adorable and charming since she always tries to see the good in everyone and everything. Her unique abilities coupled with her cuteness earns her second place on our list without a hitch.
1. Hinata Hyuuga from Naruto

- Issuance: October 2002 to February 2007
Of the endless number of ninja girls in this series, Hinata is (to me at least) the most interesting of them all. I really think Naruto chose his wife wisely. She is absolutely loving and lovable, and despite her apparent weakness she manages to be the most determined ninja girl of all when it comes to making a good match for Naruto.
Hinata hates fighting and hurting other people. More than anything that is why she was considered an inappropriate heir to her clan. However, late but surely she became very powerful and skilled over the years thanks to the influence and help of Naruto.
Personally, I find Hinata completely adorable for being the kind and peaceful kind of ninja girl that you really don’t want to mess with.
